Thu 18 Mar - Hotel California - The Eagles Experience

Details: Hotel California - The Eagles Experience 8:00 PM

BUY TICKETS

HOTEL CALIFORNIA - THE EAGLES EXPERIENCE, fills the musical void left behind when the world's much-loved rock superstars, The Eagles, disbanded in 1982.

From the '70s through to the '80s, The Eagles were a major force in the world music scene. They were heaped with Gold and Platinum Records, showered with awards, and struggled to keep up with demand for product and live appearances, a strain that many say led to their break-up.

Now, six highly respected, multi-talented musicians present HOTEL CALIFORNIA - THE EAGLES EXPERIENCE, a faithful recreation of The Eagles' timeless hits, in a show that salutes the talent and musicianship of the original members. HOTEL CALIFORNIA - THE EAGLES EXPERIENCE focuses on The Eagle's Hell Freezes Over Tour of the early '90s, capturing the an era when The Eagle's music undeniably transcended the boundaries of rock, R&B and country.

HOTEL CALIFORNIA - THE EAGLES EXPERIENCE is an exciting showcase of all the chart-toppers, such as Take it Easy, One of These Nights, Take it to the Limit, Heartache Tonight, Hotel California, Lyin' Eyes, Witchy Woman, New Kid In Town, Tequila Sunrise, Desperado, Best of My Love and Life in the Fast Lane, as well as more recent releases, Get Over It and Love Will Keep Us Alive. The group also performs selected solo hits of 1971 founding members Don Henley and Glen Frey, and Joe Walsh, who joined The Eagles in 1975. The music of The Eagles touched the hearts of a generation. If you enjoyed life in the fast lane in the '70s, or simply yearn for a night at the Hotel California, don't miss this amazing multi media show.

Mon 22 Mar - Julie Anthony

Details: Julie Anthony 11:00 AM

Julie Anthony is SOLD OUT.

Julie Anthony (OBE) holds a unique place in the heart of the Australian Entertainment Industry. Her achievements on the concert stage, in musicals, television and recordings, span nearly two decades. Julie Anthony, a professional and dedicated performer has been the recipient of numerous awards.
It all began when Julie moved to Sydney from the South Australian Mallee Country in the early seventies. The club, cabaret and television works was vibrant then; Julie found herself in great demand. It wasn't so long after that she was asked to audition for a J.C Williamson stage production, "Irene" - and though still virtually unknown - won the coveted lead role.

Julie was then invited to play the same role on London's West End Stage. "A Star is Born" wrote the British Press critics and Julie won the prestigious Play and Players Award as Best Newcomer Actress. She worked for the Channel Seven Network for three national television specials which earned her Sammy and Penguin Awards for Best Television Variety Performer. The accolades continued. Mo Awards for Entertainer Of The Year (three times), Best Female Vocalist (eight times) presented by her peers in Variety.

The United States of America beckoned and Julie performed successful seasons with such great stars as Bill Cosby, Roy Clarke and Merv Griffin in major venues across the States. The musical stage called her back this time to play the lead role of "Maria" in "The Sound Of Music". Then followed by a record breaking concert tour around all regions of Australia.

In more recent years, Julie has helped establish Advance Australia Fair as our National Anthem. Her recording has become "the definitive version" and during our Bicentennial year was given the honour of singing the Anthem at the official opening of Australia's new Parliament House. Julie was also selected to sing the Anthem at the Sydney Olympic Games.

Julie was awarded an OBE for her service to the Entertainment Industry. She was honoured to receive the award by Her Majesty the Queen. Julie also received the prestigious honour of the Order of Australia for her contribution to the people of Australia. She is a nationally and internationally recognised performer and has won a record 15 Mo Awards.
